Published by Frank Zaic. Selections of model airplane pages from "The American Boy" magazine starting with the September 1927 issue and continuing through the August 1934 issue. This was promoted by the AMLA, the Airplane Model League of America which was one of the predecessors of the AMA, the Academy of Model Aeronautics which is the governing body of model building in the USA. It is interesting to see the progression of design over that eight year period. There is also an article by William Stout from 1916 with his design of a model seaplane. Bill Stout was later the designer of the Ford Tri-Motor airplane and several others. He was instrumental in getting the AMLA started and even in helping to make Wichita, Kansas one of the centers of aircraft manufacturing in the USA. Very interesting historical information.
